Pollen

Pollen, the male element of a flower, is a microscopic powered that helps with the fertilization of the plant. Pollination is the process of transferring the pollen from the anther (male part of the plant) to the stigma (female part of the plant). Over 80% of pollinization is credited to the honeybee.

The honeybee has baskets on each rear leg which become filled with pollen and is mixed with honey during transport. At the entrance of the hives are pollen traps that brush approximately 60% of the granules into a pollen-drawer that are harvested by the beekeeper.

Why should you eat pollen? Pollen contains all essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and trace elements. Eat a tablespoon each day to help with good health and vitality.
